FAQs
What is the Coachi Boomi Ball?
The Coachi Boomi Ball is a super-durable, hard-wearing play ball designed for active dogs. Inspired by the original Boomer Ball from Company of Animals, it is built for energetic play, chase and outdoor exercise, offering long-lasting fun for dogs that love to push, chase and herd.
What makes the Boomi Ball so tough?
The Boomi Ball is made from an ultra-strong, high-density polymer that resists punctures and chewing. It is designed to withstand rough play and is ideal for strong and energetic dogs that typically destroy standard toys.
Is the Boomi Ball suitable for dogs that chew?
The Boomi Ball is not designed as a chew toy. Its tough, rigid shell is intended for pushing, chasing and herding rather than biting or carrying. Choosing the correct size helps prevent chewing by ensuring your dog cannot pick it up.
What size Boomi Ball should I choose for my dog?
Always choose a ball larger than your dog's mouth so they cannot pick it up or chew it.
There are six sizes available across the range:
4" / 10cm (Cool Mint and Sunset Coral)
6" / 15cm (Sky Blue and Ice Purple)
8" / 20cm (Ocean Teal)
10" / 25cm (Electric Lime)
Please refer to the sizing guide above for breed recommendations.
Can my dog pick up the Boomi Ball?
No. The Boomi Ball is intentionally designed to be too large and rigid to pick up when the correct size is chosen. This encourages interactive chase, push and herd play.
Where can I use the Boomi Ball?
The Boomi Ball is ideal for outdoor use in gardens, yards, fields and other open spaces. Its smooth surface is easy to clean and it floats, making it suitable for water-based play.
Is the Boomi Ball suitable for puppies?
Yes. Puppies with lots of energy and strong chase or herding instincts can enjoy the Boomi Ball. Always supervise play and select the correct size for safe use.
How does the Boomi Ball support training and behaviour?
The Boomi Ball helps channel excess energy into positive play. For herding breeds such as Border Collies and German Shepherds, it provides an outlet for natural instincts while encouraging exercise, confidence and engagement.
Is the Boomi Ball safe if my dog chews it?
The Boomi Ball is not intended for chewing. If your dog damages the ball through chewing, inspect it carefully for wear or damage. Discontinue use and replace the ball if significant damage is present.
How is the Boomi Ball different from the original Boomer Ball?
The Coachi Boomi Ball retains the toughness and play style of the original Boomer Ball while introducing updated colours, branding and packaging as part of the Coachi training range. It continues a product legacy trusted by dog owners since 1990.
