Unlike rope or fabric, BioThane doesn’t soak up dirt, water, or odours, so it’s always ready for the next walk — making it a great option alongside our custom dog collars, even after a muddy run through the park or a splash at the beach. Tough, colourful, and easy to customise, it’s a training tool that works as hard as you and your dog do.

Most leads get heavy, smelly, and frayed over time. BioThane longlines avoid all that. They’re strong enough for big dogs, but light enough for small ones, and the waterproof coating means no damp rope smell in the car after training. Because they don’t snag or soak, they’re safer for recall practice, letting your dog run free while you know you can reel them back if needed. The custom options also mean you get a line that works for your dog’s needs, not just a one-size-fits-all.
Clip the longline to your dog’s harness (we recommend avoiding collar use for training). Let your pup roam while you keep hold of the other end, or allow the line to drag if you’re working in a safe, open space. For added control, attach a removable traffic handle to the D-ring at the end; easy to grab when you need it, easy to take off when you don’t.
Wipe down with a damp cloth or wash with mild soap after use.

Is the BioThane Dog Longline chew-proof?
No. BioThane is very tough, but no material stands up to determined chewers. If your dog chews through it, contact us for repair options.
