A BioThane dog collar is like a super collar for your furry friend. It's made from a special material that's tough, waterproof, and won't pick up stinky smells. You can easily wipe it clean with a cloth, so it's perfect for messy outdoor adventures. And it comes in lots of cool colours and designs to match your dog's personality. Best of all, it's durable, so you won't have to worry about it falling apart. With a BioThane collar or one of our custom dog collars, your dog can stay stylish and comfortable no matter what they get up to!
The collar is suitable for dogs of all sizes and breeds.
Is Biothane better than leather?
It depends, for forest hikes, water play, or muddy adventures, choose BioThane. It's strong, easy to clean, and simple to maintain, making it perfect for active dogs and their messy escapades.
Is BioThane collar durable?
Yes, BioThane is really strong, but watch out for sharp stuff like teeth—it can puncture if chewed on. Check your pet's gear for damage regularly.
Will the BioThane collar pull my dog’s hair?
No, BioThane feels smooth and prevents rashes and irritation because it dries fast and doesn't soak up water. It is perfect for all fur types.
Is the BioThane collar waterproof?
Absolutely! Our BioThane collar is totally waterproof. It's built with a super strong polyester webbing core that stops water from soaking in, so you don't need to seal it for extra protection.

The fitting is perfect, my dog wears it daily, it doesnt smell and its so easy to wash and the colour is gorgeous on her !!
We absolutely love the collar and it’s much softer then what I expected. Highly recommend 😍
My dog and I adore his new collar! It fit him perfectly, the color of the collar and buckle were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. Reasonably priced and arrived quickly, highly recommend! Thank you
I’ve been looking for something to alert others that my dog needs space . There are some products out there but I couldn’t find anything to warn people to ignore him. This collar fits beautifully and is nice and soft on his neck. The text is clear to read and the choice of yellow alerts those in the know that he’s anxious.
It's an awesome collar; the only disappointment was the colour wasn't as green as it looked online. It's more of an army green than a dark green. Love the hardware, just got the standard nickel but it's shiny and nice
LOVE LOVE LOVE my dog collar.
Light weight, love the colour and big letters👏👏
and the buckle.
My dog looks fantastic and seems to have no issues wearing the collar.
Great communication.
Thank you Aimee
Great collar, biothane really is amazing and lasts forever, easy to wash and doesn't smell. The personalisation is great and I appreciated being able to make it my own.
Love this collar especially for a dog who loves water it doesn’t get smelly and dries fast
This is my second one - first one is still in perfect condition but needed the next size
Absolutely love this collar. Fabulous vibrant collar and custom details are totally on point.
Thank you
This was my second one of these bought for our new addition. When we are out we always get compliments about how good they are.
Thank you
I am very pleased with the outcome and product but more so with the very personal approach taken when the company made sure I get what I wanted. They went above and beyond to communicate design suggestions and outcomes. Very happy with the Collar and will continue buying here.
Love the biothane collars, will be so good when we go on labrador walks at the beach especially with their names on
I had never heard of a BioThane Collar before, but it is awesome. So well made and the Printing on it is great. Highly recommended. A+++++ from me (and Sky Dog!).
So happy with my new custom biothane collar, its very well made and looks great with the extra printing, I added to it. Thanks for the quick service, attention to detail and delivery.
Great products sold by Shine Pets and always quick shipping.
Just got our first Biothane collar and we love it. We were finding it so hard to find a suitable collar in stores for our working springer spaniels.
Great! Its a little too wide and long but thats my fault with incorrect measurements! Its gonna work well for when i will need to use it, great quality!
Very happy with this purchase. The colour is exactly what I expected, top quality and fast delivery time. I would be sure to buy from Shine Pets again.
The company were really easy to deal with related to my order, super helpful and very quick, despite placing an order in early January. The product is really well made and just what I was looking for. I would not hesitate to order this product, or deal with this company again.
The team at Shine pets accommodated every special request we had for our collar and emailed back promptly and clearly, We are so happy with our collar and the amazing friendly service we received from them. The Collar is very high-quality and looks great on our dog. Thanks guys!
Our boy is reactive and best not approached. Purchased a bright green collar with Anxious on it to try and make people think twice, and it's working.
Our boys neck measures 39cm went for the 40-50cm length, with hindsight the 30-40cm would have been fine as the 14cm excess flaps around.
Exactly what i wanted, great fit, high quality, easy to clean. Chose neon pink so it was high visibility. I've always had quick release collars for her up till now, the buckle may take a second longer buts its easy and after 3 days I was totally used to it. I love it, dog loves it, cant wait to see how long it holds up for :)
It gives me peace of mind knowing her name and my number are on her collar, incase she ever got out of the property. Clear letters and numbers. Very happy
I’ve already received this product and my boy is a model for the yellow one. Great item.
Great ordering process and very accommodating for special wishes. Perfect fit, high quality buckles and sharp neat print of our details. Also very easy to clean. Long term use will show how they are holding up but so far we couldn't be happier!
The sizing is definitely generous which isn’t a bad thing, but thought I was doing the right thing by measuring his neck size (50cm) and choosing a collar that was 50-60cm so I could get plenty use out of it. Turns out my husband had to add a fair few holes in order for him to be able to fit it. Is there any advice you could give towards this for future orders please?
Hi Rhi. Thanks for your feedback! The holes should range from 50-60cm, 50cm being the smallest one If you would like to email us a photo of it laid flat with a tape measure we can check that it is corect shop@shinepets.co.nz. Thank you!
We love the inscribed name and phone number on our new collar, and so does Rosie our black lab, thank you so much. Will be purchasing more goods in the future for sure!
Biothane in general is my go-to. Easy to clean, well wearing, the colour stays vibrant and doesn't fade like fabric. Can't go wrong really.
