Here are the stated ingredients and what the product claims:
• Equal parts of: Herbal Chamomile, Nettle, Kawakawa 
• Also includes homeopathic Galphamia, Mixed Grass Pollen antigen, Wandering Jew antigen 
• Base (carrier): Vegetable glycerine & purified water 

The product is marketed to help dogs with grass allergies (itchy rashes, inflammation) and is supposed to be safe, non-toxic, alcohol-free etc.

Which ingredients might cause digestive upset (loose stools / mucus)...

Here are some thoughts on how these ingredients could lead to loose stools or mucous, depending on the dog:
- Chamomile
Usually calming and anti-inflammatory. But in some dogs, especially in larger doses (or sensitive dogs), chamomile can irritate the stomach or intestinal lining, causing mild upset: loose stool, gas.
- Nettle
Known to have various bioactive compounds. In some animals, nettle can act as a mild irritant or promote increased gut motility, or have effects on digestive secretions. This might exacerbate loose stool in sensitive dogs. Also nettle has some histamine content initially, which can provoke reactions in some animals.
- Kawakawa
This is less commonly used outside NZ; it has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. But individual sensitivity is possible. If it alters gut flora or stimulates secretions, that could loosen stool.
- Grass pollen antigens / Wandering Jew antigen
These are intended for immune system desensitisation (homeopathic or antigen remedy). But if a dog has an allergic or hypersensitivity reaction, especially via the gut (swallowing into mouth, etc.), that could provoke increased mucus or irritation in gut lining. Also “antigens” in any allergenic substance might trigger immune responses.
- Galphamia
Being homeopathic, the concentrations are likely very low, but in sensitive dogs even small amounts may trigger reactions, especially if multiple remedies are combined.

Also, the vegetable glycerine base is usually well tolerated, but in some dogs glycerine can cause mild GI upset if they get more than they can properly digest (especially smaller dogs). Purified water is inert.

Other possible contributing factors
• Dosage: If giving more than suggested, or increasing quickly, could overwhelm the system.
• Changeover / mixing: If this was started around the same time as other dietary changes/treats/medications, interactions could matter.
• Underlying GI sensitivity: Dogs with sensitive guts, or pre-existing GI inflammation (colitis, IBD), or allergies (food, environmental) are more likely to show loose stools or mucus.
• Timing: Sometimes when using immune-modulating or “desensitising” treatments, there can be a temporary flare of symptoms including gut reactions.
• Quality / contaminants: Less likely, but variation in herbal supplement purity or contaminants/mold could irritate.
