Whether you’re teaching basic manners, fun tricks or more advanced skills, this little training tool is a great addition to your training kit!

How Does Clicker Training Work?

It’s simple! The clicker acts like a little camera, taking a snapshot of the exact behaviour you want to reward.

1. Click the moment your dog does something you like.
2. Reward with a tasty treat.
3. Repeat to help your dog understand which behaviours earn rewards.

Before using the clicker to teach new skills, start by clicking and immediately giving your dog a treat several times. This helps your dog learn that the click means a reward is coming!

💡 Shine Canine Training Tip: Remember, the clicker isn’t a remote control! It’s not used to get your dog’s attention or tell them what to do. It’s a way of saying, “YES! That’s exactly what I wanted!”

Small tool, big training possibilities!
