As noted in the product description, it's designed for interactive play only and should not be left as an unsupervised chew toy. If you have a prolific ball chaser/chewer you can't go past a Jolly Ball. Some people get confused that because it gets holes in it (from over zealous dog teeth) that the ball is not durable, but the beauty of these is that even with a LOT of tooth punctures the ball keeps on serving its purpose and withstands the rough play from my working line GSD. These are the only balls that last a decent amount of time, he's now 6 and I've purchased nearly every type of 'indestructible' ball advertised on the market and nothing lasts as long as the Jolly balls.
