Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed, commonly known as Norwegian Kelp, Common Wrack or Rockweed, is a brown seaweed which grows along the North Atlantic shorelines of Canada and Europe. The seaweed is harvested off the cold, clean coast of Nova Scotia, Canada using environmentally sound hand harvesting techniques to safeguard the natural resource and to ensure only Ascophyllum nodosum is harvested. The company's rigorous quality control standards and passive solar drying techniques preserve the maximum benefits of the live seaweed.

It high levels of calcium to help promote healthy skin, strong bones and teeth in both horses and dogs. It is clinically proven to improve dental health over a 90 day period, it is thought that it affects the ability of plaque to stick to surfaces in the mouth, and also softens hard tartar deposits.
There are no known side effects, though because all seaweed has high amounts of iodine, this product may not be suitable for animals undergoing thyroid treatment.
