NEXT INTAKE:
Term 3: Tuesday 23rd August at 3.30pm

This course will run for 45-60 minutes each week for 4 weeks - in the event of bad weather we will postpone until the following week.

Children will be taught a variety of dog training tips and tricks, learning how to teach their dogs new tricks, plus some obedience, agility and even some flygility for the ball loving dogs!

Plus the most important thing in dog training, relationship building between your child and their dog!

As well as answering any questions you may have regarding training your dog.

The class will run for about 45 minutes to a maximum of an hour.  A parent/guardian must stay and observe and be prepared to help their child and dog, this is for safety reasons to ensure all dogs are under control, and so that the child can be helped with training at home during the week as the parent/guardian is also learning.
Please note that this class is not designed as an entry level dog training class, it is an entry level kids class!  Dogs must have had basic training prior to attending.  It is important that the dogs are going to be able to cope working around the distractions of other dogs and in a new environment.  If they are going to struggle with this, the kids might struggle with this.  So if you know that you yourself couldn’t control your dog in this environment, please do not expect your child to 😊 Your should already know basic commands, ie sit, down, wait, come - if they don't, to avoid upset children we highly recommend you attend our Life Skills class or book for a private lesson first (your child is welcome to join you too!) 😊
Other important things to note:
- Dogs must be sociable with other dogs
- It makes it easier for the kids to train the dogs if the dogs have good focus for food and/or a toy
- Please bring your dog on a lead attached to a collar or a harness (no chains)
